It feels as though it belongs to another era, weathered gently by memory and light. I chose a top down perspective to paint this rose, as I often do, removing distraction, allowing the form itself to become the subject. The spiral of petals draws the eye inwardquietly, insistentlyinviting the viewer to linger. Its a study in aging
